Review a game

How to review a Chess.com game

  1. Open a finished game on Chess.com and copy its game, analysis or review link.
  2. Paste the link into Chess Analyzer and start the analysis.
  3. When it finishes, choose Start Review and step through the moves.

Select a move to see its evaluation, the best alternative and the engine continuation. If a link cannot be imported, export the game as PGN and paste that text instead.

Analyze a Lichess game

Copy a public Lichess game link and paste it into the same input. You can also paste an exported PGN. The analyzer supports standard chess games.

Analyze a PGN with Stockfish

PGN is a text format for chess moves. Paste the complete game, including its player and event headers if available. A move sequence also works:

1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. Bb5 a6 *

Use PGN text, rather than a screenshot or a single board position. Stockfish evaluates the positions and compares each played move with its best continuation.

What the game review shows

Will the accuracy match Chess.com?

When a published Chess.com accuracy score is available and the complete game matches, the review uses that score. Otherwise, it calculates accuracy from Stockfish evaluations using the Lichess method. Search depth and calculation time can affect the result.

Where does the analysis run?

Stockfish runs in your browser. Shared review links include the game’s PGN, so anyone with the link can open it. See the Privacy Policy for game imports, storage and advertising.

Chess Analyzer is independent of Chess.com and Lichess.
